Word Tables from EXCEL Spreadsheet - Problem Keeping alignment after saving

C

Craig

Why when I copy a portion of an EXCEL Spreadsheet into
Word using PASTE Special, HTML or Word Hyperlink. Then re-
adjust column width under Table properties to align table
in Word, Then "Save" Close Word, Then Re-open Word
Document to find Tables skewed to the right?

I'm trying to pull out small portions of a EXCEL sheet to
make several small tables linked in Word. I don't want to
use Excel Work sheet Object or Bitmap,or picture, They are
just one big block.

I can add/delete Tables rows/column, etc. and print to
document the way I want it. But once I save and close, it
doesn't keep the margin/column width settings.

Help!

When you copy the table into Word, a four way or cross way looking arrow
should appear. Right click it, a menu should pop up, click "Table
Properties". The 'Table Properties' dialogue should appear with options.
Select the preffered alignments under the "Table" tab, sub heading
"alignment" which are Left, Center, Right.

Andre,

I've already tried that!

The problem isn't with the Word table, it's with how the
auto or manual link update works. I want the Excel
spreadsheet data to be updated via the link but not the
Excel table format. I'm looking for that hidden option,
right click, push ten keys at once trick! I've enhanced
the table under word, but when I restart or manually link
update, the new update brings back the old Excel Table
format. As example rows that were deleted in Word
reappear, Columns are resized, the table is shifted on
the page. I'm looking for a way to auto update the data
from the Excel cells without the Word table format being
modified. For now I've just broken the links but that
defeats the advantages of the two (Word/Excel)working
together. When Excel Data is modified, I am manual
updating those links. But then I have to go back and fix
all the Word Table Formats.

Thank you for your reply,

Craig.
