Word tables...

Martin S.

Hello all,

Is there any way to get text to flow through a Word table like a regular
paragraph? Right now the rows in the table just getter bigger and bigger
with each new line of text.

Thanks,
Martin.

You cannot have text flow across cells, if that's what you are asking.
However, assuming that you are using Word 2003 or later, you can control the
text flow by inserting inline text boxes (inside the appropriate cells) and
link their contents.

But it would seem simpler to choose a different solution. Perhaps you don't
need the table at all? Or would it be possible to use newspaper columns
instead?

Thanks Stefan, this was perfect. It's only a 20 line table that gets used
many times a day, it's a one time setup then everyone just keeps re-using
the same doc.

It might be better if you either saved the document as a template or saved
the table as an autotext or autocorrect entry. If you share the same
document some clown will screw it up for sure. Word is not a multi-user
application.
