Word takes long time to open/close

XP pro/Word 2000

It takes 40 seconds to either open or close Word
document. But in Windows 2000 pro, it takes no more than
3 or 4 seconds. Both systmes are running the same Anti-
Virus.

Try turning off the virus check of Office files in that software, and
see if this makes a differece (my hunch it will ... if so, complain to
the anti-virus vendor).
