We are having a problem whereby Word doesn't seem to print to the tray that
has been defined from within a template.
Using Word 2003 (both with SP1 and without) on XP SP1a, SP2 and Win2003 server
User creates a new template, this template details that pages should be
printed to tray 3 on the printer (File, Page Setup, Paper. Paper source
lists tray 3 (which is letterheaded)).
When a user now uses this template to create a document, it simply ignores
this tray designation and prints to the default tray. If however a user
enters the tray they wish to print to on the print page, it will print to the
(then) chosen tray.
Should the settings we have applied in the template take affect or are we
misunderstanding the option. Any help to carrying out this function is
appreciated
TIA
