Word Template with Variables from a Web page

Is it possible to create a template that will prepopulate with variables
from a Web form? I'm working on an application where quotes are being
logged into a database from a Web form...afterward a Word document is
written. I'd like to be able to avoid having to enter the information in
Word that had already been logged into the database. The web form for the
database entry is the best possibility for me as I'll have people accessing
it from multiple cities.

Thanks.

Hi Deuce,

I'm not really the best person to answer this, since I don't do any web
development, but since you haven't received an answer...

It's probably do-able, but there may be some obstacles, depending on how much
control you have over the systems the users will be on?

Best would be to write the data into a text or xml file, then use a macro IN
the Word side to take care of the import, I'd think. Another possibility
would be to save as delimited text and use MAIL MERGE to bring the data into
the Word document; in this case, you might get away with no macros at all.
Trying to automate Word from your server would be chancey, at best. And Word
couldn't consume the data directly from your web page.

Cindy,

Thank you for replying. I don't think that will help me, I'll have to back
up and punt! Thanks again.
