Word template

I have seen letters that have letterhead info in the
header and footer as well as in the left hand margin of
the letterhead template. Info in the left hand margin is
like corporate officers, partners in a law firm, etc.

How do I create this style of letterhead template (.dot)
in Word? The specific version I am using is from Office
XP.

Search for a coresponding template, when you find one download then modify to your specifications. If you pay attention to the detail of the template it will help you to create your own.
