My work PC was just upgraded to use Windows 7, so Word 2007 was
reinstalled.
A few years ago, when we initially installed Word 2007, I was
researching something about templates in Word and found a deeper view
into a group of Microsoft's standard templates. I asked our IT people
to make that view possible and they did. Now, however, I am back to
having just the standard view into templates and I can't remember what
to ask IT for to get the view into the richer selection of templates.
To reach that view, I would click the Microsoft button > New. Then a
pane would show up that showed me the most recently used templates on
the right of the pane. Those templates would appear as big clickable
icons...the icons were large enough to provide a preview. I could
scroll through the list of most recently used templates to select
them. On the left of the pane were Microsoft Office template
categories (e.g., for letters, memos, calendars, etc.).
Can anyone tell from my description what that is feature called? I
need to clue our IT people into this so that they can find it and
install it for me. Thank you.
