I used a template in WORD to create a letterhead document, however
whenever I attempt to paste any text into the letterhead document, the
letterhead mast disappears from the first page and reappears on the
last page of whatever document I am trying to create. How can I
correct this problem or what did I fail to do in creating the
letterhead that is causing this problem?
I can't believe your letterhead is *only* on the last page, unless you
have exactly two pages in your document.
If so:-
Format->Document->Layout and ensure 'different first page' is checked.
Then make sure that your letterhead is on the first page header.
If you have done that, and your letterhead appears only on the last
page, your template has a distinctly strange problem. Write back
telling us exactly how you managed it, and send a copy to Redmond too.
Oops, there is another way your letterhead may reappear in
mid-document. If you insert a section break (new page) then the first
page of the new section will have a letterhead, if the section header
is set to 'same as previous', and previous section was the first or
itself was set to previous and.. (you get the idea?)
Oh DUH! The above is good advice, but it may not be your problem. You
may have simply omitted to place the letterhead in the document header.
If that is what you have done, and the letterhead is in the body of the
document and you insert text in front of it, of course it will go to
the end.
View->header and footer and all will become obvious.
