Word terminates unexpectedly

1) One open document
2) Close document
3) Minimize Word window
4) Click on minimize window to restore it
5) Word software terminates

Any suggestions to correct this problem?

not sure what hjas been added
I have been researching preferences but have not tried anything

FYI - I am a new Helpdesk Analyst and this is one of the items I am working
on.
