Word Title Bar flashes when trying to print / save

If I open a word document from my computer / explorer;
once word is open and I make changes to it; when I click
on File, then print / save.. the program stops at that
point and the top title bar flashes... then when I try to
close out the word program by clicking on the X, it does
nothing, but keep flashing. I have to ctrl-alt-del, close
program to get it to actual close up.

Once I've done all this; if I reopen or just open up word
first, then go to open file and make my changes, I can go
to file, print and the print dialogue box opens with no
problem and I can print with no problem.

I have run the MS Office 2000 repair option and I still
have this problem. I have also ran norton anti-virus.
Help!

NAV's Office plug-in causes this problem. Disable it.

.
Thank you so much! This has been driving me crazy for
months!!! Could you please tell me how to do this or where
I can find the instructions on this. I guess I can just go
to their website.

1. Open Norton AntiVirus (right-click on the Taskbar icon and choose this
option).

2. Click on the Options button at the top of the dialog.

3. In the Options dialog, click on Miscellaneous (menu on the left)

4. Clear the check box for "Enable Office Plug-in."
