Word to outlook

I create 1 page bulletins for global distribution in my
organization. The bulletins include text and images, I
cannot seem to get the word document to maintain its
format. I can send it as an attachment and it is good, but
if I just use the file menu to send the document the
formatting jumbles. Any help out there?

Hi Anonymous

When you use File > Send to Mail Recipient, Word saves your file into
HTML format, puts the HTML into the email and sends it. But HTML does
not have the sophisticated layout possibilities that Word offers. So
sending as HTML will often lose complex layout.

When you use File > Send to Mail Recipient (as Attachment) Word creates
an email and attaches the actual Word document to the email. When the
user opens the file in Word, then Word can display all the complex
formatting.

If you want to persist with putting the HTML into the body of the email,
try laying out your material in borderless tables. This is a much-used
trick in HTML to overcome some of its layout limitations.

Hope this helps.
