Did you try running the Office Diagnostics to see if that fixes the problem?

No. How should I do it? Thank you for your reply. I will try to do the
diagnostic thing.

I did the diagnostic on line. It did not find out any problems. And I
selected the "download a file..." box to let Microsoft to chedk my system
periodically. After that I could save a single page word document in pdf
format. However I still got the error message when I tried to save a longer
file of 500 plus pages. But that's what I want.

i am having a similar problem. i followed all the instructions laid out
previously, HOWEVER, it still isn't working. additionally, the "download a
file" box was already clicked. just in case, i unclicked it and then clicked
it again.

any more suggestions? i'm kind of in a bind as i need to submit a grant
application later this week and it requires everything to be in a pdf format.

The solution according to the M$ site is to run a hotifx kb958137 which
specifically addresses this problem. Tried this and unfortunately it tells me
that it can't find the relavant app (ie Word 2007) on my system. Now what?

So back to square one. Could someone from M$ answer this question?

Microsoft does not administer this Newsgroup: it solely a peer-to-peer
support group.

Are you saying that you cannot find Word on your computer? All these fixes
are irrelevant if it isn't installed.
