Word to PDF in order to Read Out Loud in Adobe 7 Pro

I use the Read Out Loud (ROL) function in Adobe at work where I have a
scanner, but I don't have one at home. When I convert a Word doc to PDF by
using PDF Printer, then run the "Recognize Text in OCR" in Adobe, then start
ROL, it doesn't work. Are there settings that I don' t know about in Word
and/or Adobe? Hoping someone can help. Thank you, Kathryn

Graham,
Actually, it saves time and money. We use to have two people proof
documents, one reading the original issued patent, the other proofing for
errors. Read out loud is a godsend. I figure, if I think Word can do
something, then it can, or it will eventually.

Graham, Thank you. I didn't look far enough down the document. This does
work!! You just saved me, and others here, a ton of time.
