Word 'undo' buttom keeps undoing even though i've saved the document

It use to be that when i saved a word document that i could
not undo any thing else. I liked this, it always ensured
me that i had a solid copy of my work that could not be
altered.

However, now i can undo to the cows come home, even undoing
items that were in my previous saved version. How can i
turn off this feature and return my word version to the old
way.

Hi Scott,

Was the previous version of Word you used Word 2? ;-)

I'm not sure which versions of Word you are referring to but this has
been the behavior of Word for some time now.

Are you sure you aren't thinking of Excel or PowerPoint? Once you save
then the Undo list is disabled in those applications.

Also in some versions of WordPerfect (though this can be customized).
