Word unexpectedly quits when i try to print

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Many times, after I select file and click print, Word says it needs to quit due to a problem that has occurred. However, if I click on the print button on the toolbar, it prints without fail. I need to print certain pages and not the whole document. Why does it keep crashing? Please help!

Any time you have a print problem the first things to confirm are that your
OS (10.6.2), your software (Office 12.2.3) and -- most importantly -- your
printer driver are fully updated. Check the mfr's web site for the most
current driver rather than waiting for it to be pushed out by Apple.
