Word unexpectedly quits

Hi ,

A few of the staff are having a problem where word just quits and gives the
message saying do you want to report it to Microsoft. They are using Office x
on OS 10.3. They say that one thing that definately makes it crash is when
they highlight text and try and drag it to another area in the file it just
quits.

Has anyone else come across this?

Such consistent crashes can often be fixed by one of the standard
troubleshooting measures, detailed here:
http://word.mvps.org/MacWordNew/TroubleshootingIndex.htm
(hit refresh a few times in Safari, or use a different browser)

Let us know if none of them work.

Crash on drag was a bug that was fixed with one of the Service Releases.
Make sure these guys have applied all of the service releases in the correct
sequence. Check the link Daiya sent you to.

It can also be caused by a corrupt document. See
