Word update installation

I received four files to update word, but their wasn't
any installation instruction. I can install the files but
need to know where they go. This is the list of the files
I got. wdhelp.exe, wrd1001.exe, wrd101.exe, wrd1001a.exe,
and word1003.exe.

where did you get them from? Might they be hiding a virus?

Hi John,

Assuming these are from the Microsoft Office Resource Kit
(http://microsoft.com/office/ork/xp) for Office XP
Word1001.exe and Wrd1001a.exe are two versions of the same update.
The 'a' version is a larger, admin (full file) June 2001 security update.
Word1003 would be the June 2002 security update.

If you installed Word 2002 or Office XP from a CD then you can
check to see what updates are needed through http://officeupdate.microsoft.com
and download from there accordingly.
