Word v11 saving into folder problems resolved yet?

I just upgraded my computer over the weekend, and am now using Word v.
11 on OSX Panther.

While trying to save a document, I discovered a problem, which it
sounds like you all have discussed in past threads on this newsgroup.
So I'm wondering...

Did the "create new folder while saving" and the "save into a
subfolder" problems with MS Word ever get resolved? Short of setting
up a temporary folder location, is Microsoft doing anything to fix
this?

Hi Relaena,

There are two longstanding Save problems that I am aware of. One involves
saving to a server
(<http://word.mvps.org/MacWordNew/Can'tSaveToServer.htm>); the other
involves the "disk full" error
(<http://word.mvps.org/MacWordNew/DiskFullError.htm>). It seems to me that
you are talking about something else.

Could you please explain step-by-step exactly what you're doing and what
error messages you get when you try it.

I'm an official goofball! :)

I found and resolved my problem. In short, there is a little "blue arrow"
button to the right of the field in which you type the title of your
document. Clicking on that blue arrow button reveals all the "missing"
folder and subfolder columns as a drop-down/expanded "Save" window, along
with the "New Folder" button.

DOH!!!
