Sounds like maybe the normal.dot file is corrupted. Delete and then
restart Word.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Hi Louis,

Thank you for posting here!

Could you describe this issue in detail? When did you receive this error
message? e.g. Launching Word, Saving Word, or Printing Word?

Please provide us more information for analysis. Generally, some
incompatible printer driver can cause this issue, we usually uninstall
printer's driver to resolve the similar issues. In addition, I would like
to offer you following suggestions:

Start Word in Safe Mode to check the issue again.
Start Windows in Safe Mode to check the issue again.
Rebuild the Normal.dot to check the issue again.
Build a new user account to check the issue again.

Hope this helps.

The user stated that the error occured when switching
between two open word documents. Yesterday I created a
new normal.dot file to see if this helps. I have not
heard from the user yet. It is a remote user. So
hopefully today I will have more feedback.

Thanks,

Louis

Hi Louis,

If the issue persists, I would strongly recommend you disable plug-in and
perform a clean boot to check the issue again.

Hope it helps!

I created a new normal.dot file and that seems to have
done the trick.

Thanks to all.
