word will not launch

Version: Older version
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

hi, my word is not able to launch although it is on the tool bar. other microsoft office applications open fine (exel,etc...) but when i click on word or any related files, it tells me that it had to close and either ignore, report or relaunch. i m working on a very important school paper, please help!!!

Unless you disclose what specific version & update level of Office you have
it's impossible to offer any specific advice on how to proceed ‹ "Older
version" just doesn't do it.

It also helps to know your exact update level of OS X as well as any
additional details, such as whether this is a new installation that has
presented the problem from the beginning or did Word launch previously &
this is a new development. If a new development what else on your Mac has
changed in the meantime... Any updates, new installations, etc.? Did you
migrate or "move" Office from one system to another? Have you upgraded from
an older version of OS X?

I guess we need to know what "Older Version" you are using. Versions older
than Word X probably won't run at all on OS 10.5.
