Word will not open for just 1 user. It will if other users log in. It is a
Windows 2000 machine using Office 2000. When the problem user is logged in,
word will not open. Nothing happens but a brief hourglass. When another
user logs in, word opens normally and functions normally.
I've gone through this several times before with multiple users at work.
The solution our IT has is to delete the user from the computer. But that's
much more strenuous a step than they realize, as you have to move every
document over, favorites, settings and what not to the "new" user.
Is there a way to fix this? I've moved around in the registry before, so if
it includes regedit, I'm not afraid of going in there and I always export the
registry before I touch anything.
