Word will not save doc., says disk full, any drive.

I pull up a standard doc, enter changes then try and save to same file, or
different file and get a message that the disk is too full, try closing some
programs. Close out all other programs, same message. Try to save to
another disk, A, C, H, doesn't matter, i get the same message.

Anybody got a clue on this one?
