Word Will NOT Save

Hey Everyone!

Running Office XP. Everything else works ok but, all of
sudden, Word will not allow me to save anything. I've run
a repair on it, but still doing the same thing; I open a
new doc, type a line of text and click on "save" or "save
as" and nothing happens (just the drop-down list goes
away). I think I may have damaged/changed the attributes
on something, or clicked a setting - but I can't figure
out what I did!

Can anyone help?

Yes, the product has been activated. It's been working
fine for months.
