You need to tell us exactly what's happening before someone can make a
diagnosis. "Start typing in Spanish" isn't enough, because it could mean
several things.
Please also state the version of Word, including updates, the operating
system including updates, and the processor (PowerPC or Intel) in your Mac.
If you aren't on the Mac: You've landed in a discussion group for users of
Mac versions of Word. Mac versions differ variously from PC versions.
Although several people here use both PCs and Macs and may give you an
answer soon, it's likely that more people in a PC group have experienced
