I am an author using a 24" iMac. I have two or three Word documents
open at the same time: novel on the right, cast on the left, chapter
list in the middle. In Word (Office Mac 2004) this was no problem.
Where ever each window was when it was saved last, that is where it
would open up, so I could go to work immediately.
In Word (Office Mac 2008) all windows open up far upper left
regardless of where I had them before. Now every time I want to work,
I must manually move and resize all document windows before I can
work. Is there a way to make Word (Office Mac 2008) open document
windows where I had them when I quit work last?
Based on what I have found so far, there is nothing in Office Mac 2008
that is better than Office Mac 2004, and a lot of things are worse.
Even the speed is slower. It was supposed to be written to run native
with my Intel Duo Core, but Office 2008 runs slower than Office 2004
did in both Word and Excel. If you haven't upgraded, don't.
