Word window position

My Word window is maximized yet it isn't at the top of my desktop space.
Instead, it hangs directly below the title bar of the application behind it,
as if it were tiled. As a result, I can't see the Word status bar. I have not
intentionally tiled windows, and no other window is arranging itself like
this.

Does anyone know why this would be happening and how to stop it? I need my
status bar! Thank you.

I believe this is related to using Word as the email editor in Outlook and
opening Outlook first.

Thank you, Suzanne. I was having bizarre Outlook problems this morning and
our desktop support guy changed my e-mail options to use Word as the Outlook
editor. I've since changed it back to rich text so should clear up next time
I reboot. At least now, thanks to you, I'll know why instead of just
shrugging my shoulders and thinking, "Nice. It fixed itself." :)
