Word won't convert doc.

My word version 7.0 for windows 95 will not convert my
blackboard courses for my internet college course. For
example the documents are saved as biology.pdf.doc I have
updated everything on my computer through windows. I even
tried to install a converter. Can you help me???

Cindy,

Are these files opening in an Adobe reader? If so, they
are PDF files, which will not open directly in word. Is
there another link on your website to open another version
of the document?

For some reason it does not give me that option. Most
docs. it asks what form to open in adobe, word etc. But it
is not on any of the ones on this website. I've tried
emailing my teacher to see if she could give me another
copy of the docs. in another format. So far not another
link. Thanks.

For some reason the file has two extensions and very likely isn't a Word doc
at all. Try changing the filename to biology.pdf. Then don't try to open it
from Word. Double-click it in Explorer and see if Acrobat Reader starts.
