word won't open

Using Office 97 Professional.
All applications will open but not Word.
When click on word - the screen will come up then nothing
happens after that.
I have tried running Fix. That didn't work.
I uninstalled. Installed. This didn't work.
Also installed Norton SystemWorks to help assist if any
problems or virus. Still Word will not open.

Any ideas?

How did you fix the problem? I am having the same
problem, except that when it starts to open it freezes up
and you have to reboot to get out of it.
