Word won't Save !!!!

I'm using XP Home and Word 2000. Periodically (at least once a day), I
get a save error. It happens only on documents that I am editing. The
error is:

"Word cannot complete the save due to a file permission error
(D:\...\[document name] ...)

D is a parition on the hard drive.

I have Word configured to always make a backup.

What's going on here and what should I do?

Do you have an anti-virus install on your PC? This kind
of error can occur if your anti-virus is configure to scan
file on reading or on access. I got the same problem and
it was Norton AV 2003 that cause it. Give it a try.
