WORD WORK files appearing since 11.2.6 update

WORD WORK files have been appearing for every Word file I have opened
since 11.2.6 update. But they are not resolving and disappearing when
I close word.

Any advice?

I have that problem as well. In previous versions these were not created
(at least for me) until word crashed in the middle of a document and
show all replacements up to the crash.

I went straight from Word 6.0.1a -> Office2001 then 2004 (no X) . But
since I didn't go through X I don't know if this behavior is the norm now.

One thing I do is that I don't save Word Documents to system Documents
folder. I have separate folders for different categories of work I am doing.

Its possible word is doing this to protest not being saved to document
folder. (But that is just a theory)

since 11.2.6 update. But they are not resolving and disappearing when

Try repairing disk permissions.

The work files should be in the system Tmp folder, which is a hidden folder
you should not be able to see. If somehow your login user ID has lost
permission to write to the Temp folder, the work files will appear in the
document folders. If they do, Word will forget where they are and be unable
to clean them up.

Cheers

John at least in "my" case. I regularly repair permissions, use
DiskWarrior as need, or even YASU or even fsck on occasion. I still have
them littered everywhere. But as I said I don't save the files to
Documents folder so I suspect, Word doesn't like my sorting order system
(not saving to documents)
