Word wrapping when printing

George

Hi there,

Please can anyone advise how to wrap field text when printing. I have
various rows that wrap correctly in the screen layout, but in print
preview/print, the row height remains the same, but the wrapping
doesn't work. I don't want to just widen the columns as it defeats the
object.

Many thanks,

George

Did this ever work? Anything recently change?

This is mostly controlled by the printer driver. Can you run an
experiment to print to a different printer and to help pin-point root
cause. Can see if it does any good getting a printer driver update from
the vendor. Also try completely different font set and/or font size (to
force printer driver to do something different).

Rob,

I cannot print to another printer as I don't have one, but I've tried
everything else, e.g. downloaded a new print driver, tried a different
font etc. I've also been in touch with HP who have advised that as it
doesn't happen within any other application it has to be a Project issue.

I appreciate your help...

This is really a problem with MS Project. I am having the same exact problem. I have tried actually printing in a different font, printing on another printer as well as contacting MS Help Desk. Nothing seems to work. I think MS really needs to take a look at this before they distribute an updated version of MS Project.

My recollection (and others can chip in) that the latter versions of
Project has more sophisticated word wrapping and line heights.
Certainly on my Project 2002 I'm satisfied with how text wraps.

You don't say what version you have.

Suggest you try making the line heights bigger and you'll see the text wrap.

If you want to send a message/suggestion, rather than post here ... send
them a letter or something. This newsgroup not Microsoft.
