Word X: Bolds text when highlighted

When we highlight a paragraph in any document, the text becomes bold but not
all the lines are highlighted. I uninstalled and reinstalled Office but the
problem still persists. When it first occurred only the 10.1.2 update had
been applied. I reinstalled Office with all updates and still have this
problem. This machine was also upgraded to OSX 10.2.8 today.

Any fixes for this? I¹m thinking about re-imaging the machine.

Ooohhh, errrr, ummmm.... That's usually a graphics driver conflict.

Re-imaging? Before you do that, run the Office Remover. This is a program
you will find on your CD that removes all the file components of Office.
Otherwise, when you re-install it leaves existing files alone.

Then re-install. Then reboot and Repair Permissions (with Disk Utility).
If the permissions are bad, the updates do not apply properly.

Then put the updates in, in the correct order, and reboot again.
