Word X crashes while saving.

Greetings.

I hope you folks can help. I am using Word X, OS 10.3.7, attempting to
cut move two pages of text in three columns in a 14-page documentand to
another location in that document. Every time I attempt to do this,
either dragging or cutting and pasting, Word crashes during my "save"
after the procedure. I've repaired permissions, cleaned my system
cache, and run a prebind (I don't know what these do, but a friend
does), with no success.

Any suggestions?

Hi Jerry,

It's possible that your document has some corruption. Use the procedure at
the following link to check this. Post back if it doesn't work.

You have no idea how much trouble (and money) you've saved me!
Procedure # 2 worked perfectly...after I'd already spent an hour on the
phone with an Apple tech and scheduled a costly service call.

It's especially appreciated that you and John have contributed an
article "for the rest of us": those of us who don't understand
tech-speak, who love the Mac because we don't have to understand
complex instructions and language, who just want to "plug and play" by
running our programs and that's all. You've writtten an article that
even I can understand! What an achievement.
