Word X Crashing & Locked Out

I'm having serious, repeated trouble with my Word X as part of Office
X -- this is the third time the program will not even open. When I try
and launch Word X it just crashes and quits out. I've now reinstalled
Office X twice and about to do a third -- is there something I can do
to prevent this from happening? Are there known conflicts in the OS X
environment (10.2.8) with this program? Thanks for any help you can
provide. I depend on this program working and so far it's a huge bust.

Hi Will,

Do you have Office fully updated to 10.1.5? Have you tried repairing disk
permissions?

Go to Macintosh HD/Applications/Utilities. Open up Disk Utility. Select
your hard disk, then click the First Aid tab. Click the button to "Repair
Disk Permissions".

If the problem persists, you may have a font conflict. See this article for
