Word X date problem/Word 2004 missing font

QUESTION #1
I'm currently using Office X on six Macs, running either 10.2.8 or 10.3.4,
in a law office. On two of the stations, something weird happens with
autocompleting dates... Word keeps inserting the date prior to today. So if
today is June 16 and you start typing "June", when you hit space and it
lists the autocomplete date, it shows it as June 15 (and if you hit return,
that wrong date shows up, too). I've checked the date and time control
panel of course, but the date and time zone are right on both of these
systems. Anyone seen this?

QUESTION #2
I've upgraded the first of these stations to Office 2004, and it's working
fine with one exception. Brush Script, a font that is included on the Office
2004 CD, will not show up in Word's font menu. It shows up in other programs
like TextEdit but I checked in Excel and it's not there either. I've used
FontDoctor to run an integrity test and all the fonts pass with no
conflicts. I am running Office 2004 on my PowerBook at my office and the
Brush Script font works there just fine, so I'm not sure what's going on
here. I found an "Office Font Cache (11)" file and deleted and rebuilt that,
but it didn't help. Brush Script used to work fine on this Mac under Office
X.

Thanks to anyone who has thoughts on these issues...

Yup - Word apparently loads the autocomplete current date at startup. If
Word is left running overnight, it doesn't update.

AFAICT, this only affects autocomplete - inserting date using any other
method queries the system clock.

The fix is to close and reopen Word.

No, these computers are shut down at night and not turned on until the
following morning. As well, they've tried quitting Word and relaunching it
-- even tried restarting the Mac -- and it's always a day behind. Anyone
else got an idea?
