Word X doc to pdf - graphic shadings lost. Fix?

Version: v.X
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Power PC

When I take a Word X doc to Print > Preview or to pdf I lose the gray shading inside my boxes created with Drawing toolbar.

Is there a way to fix this?

I found the answer. It was my printer settings. I had "Black & White" checked that prevented any shadings. When I unchecked it, it came out fine.
