Word X extremely slow to open and close

I am running Office X on a G4/450 using OS 10.2.8. Word takes about
10 minutes to open and even longer to close. It seems to be fine once
running. Excel, Entourage, and even PowerPoint are running fine.

Any ideas as to what might be causing this?

Hi

By any chance have you accidentally installed more than one copy of Word or
Office? I've heard of this happening and then MacOS can't figure out what
program to open.
