Word X - Footer ?

Hi,
In Word X I have to change the footer from 0.5 in to 0.6 in to keep page
numbers from being chopped off. Using 0.5 in has always worked in previous
versions of Word. Am I the only one with this problem? In the past I have
been using Word 2001 for printing, but this is getting old.

I had the same problem, too. Word v.X was always chopping off my page
numbers, and at first I thought that maybe this was related to my printer,
which was not able to print without borders. What I did was change the
default document format. I don't know if you've already done that, but if
not, you'll have to change the footer manually whenever you need it. So the
best thing to do is to select Format>Document. Set the default header/footer
sizes, and then hit the Default button in the lower left corner. This will
now change the Normal template, so all your new documents (and the old ones
using the Normal template) will have the proper footer setting. I can't tell
you for sure if the problem's printer-related or not, and I can't tell you
either if the same problem still occurs in Office 2004 since I immediately
changed the default header/footer settings after upgrading just to make
sure. Hope this was helpful.

Make sure you have the most recent printer driver for your printer, and that
your exact printer is set.
