Word X for Mac crashes during spellcheck

HI. My msword for mac version x hgas been crashing everytime i do
aspellcheck. it spellchecks a few paragraphs, then just quits. Pleas ehelp.

Dear Win, et al:

The same thing has begun happening to me. I reinstalled the program from the
original CD but that has not eliminated the problem. Anyone else having this
issue? Could there be a conflict with any recently released OS X patches. I
noticed my Software Updater has been doing some business in the last few
weeks.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated,
