Word X for Mac hyperlink(s) question

Hello, I am having difficulty creating hyperlinks for a document I am
createing. I am using Word X for mac. I currently have 5 hyperlinks in
the document I am writing. 2 go to web sites and I have no probs with
them. The other hyperlinks that I have (and will have more) are links
to documents and of the 3 only one opens the document. I understand
that the path to the document should give me the info I need but I
just don't get it? What I eventually have to do is burn the document
(original not the link) to a disc and hand it in to a professor. I
don't know if I can explain it any better. I'll try.
The eportfolio I am writing (original document) will have links to
documents that are part of my research and are saved in different
folders on my mac. When I use insert hyperlink I get the window that
asks what to link to (web site or document) and from there I use find
file and when I find it I click open. When I go back to the eportfolio
and click on the link I get an error? It is weird because off the
three links to documents that I currently have each one, when I put
the cursor over it and the window for the path opens all show a
different path... Well this is long winded someone please help???

Both Documents, the source and the destination, must be saved before you
insert the hyperlink.

However, it's a seriously good idea to ensure the documents are all in the
same folder before you start.

Otherwise, when you do burn to CD, you can guarantee that the links will be
broken.
