There have been multiple threads (since closed?) on this problem: Word
X does not recognize the Enter key on the Powerbook keyboard (right of
space bar), but it does recognize Function+Return as Enter. This
becomes most noticeable when one tries to insert a hard page break via
the keyboard shortcut Shift+Enter. Advice in previous posts was to
bite the bullet and reprogram your nervous system to hit
Shift+Function+Return or some other shortcut chosen via the
Tools...Customize menu. For those of us with crusty brain circuits
there is a workaround that allows continued use of Shift+Enter: The
haxie called MenuMaster, see
https://www.unsanity.com/haxies/menumaster. It will take you all of 5
seconds to assign Shift+Enter to the menu command for Insert Page
Break.
