word x, panther, printing problem

Hi @ all
I have this problem.
when I print a small document, ex. a fax document ".dot", from word x
(10.5 updated, 10.3 Mac Os X), the printer (xerox Phaser 3400) don't
print!!
From any "non-Office-X" applications, the printer work fine.
If I print the same word document from 10.2.x, it's all ok!!
