Word x very slow

Thanks for the suggestion - Fast Save has not been on & I always work
in Normal View - The sluggishness is relatively recent & I have not
installed any new software - so I still have a mystery to solve...

Hi Anita,

You didn't mention if you had fully updated Office. I also suggest you
check for Add-Ins that could cause conflicts. And, if the sluggishness
occurs with particular documents, but not all documents, consider the
possibility of document corruption.

Hi folks,

I am experiencing a similar situation running Mac Word 2004, pretty
slow. The words appears slowly as I type. Found it fast when I used
Word'98. Can anyone help? I'm using G4 733mhz with 768mb of RAM,
120gig harddisk.

For 2004 slowness, Use google groups advanced group search to look for a
thread on this newsgroup titled "Word 2004 painfully slow on G5"
And consider some of the suggested fixes.
