Word XML smart quotes

Hi,

When I load the Word XML into a DomDocument. I loss the
smart quotes Word creates (ie â?T turns into '). So when
I reopen the document in Word again it complains about
illegal xml characters. Is there a way I can load the
XML into a DomDocument so the symbols don't get converted?
