Word XP Address book - Illegal operation

I have a user who as Office XP Install. We recently upgraded his Outlook to
Outlook 2003. Now when the user opens word and goes to mailing and envelopes
and clicks on the address book icon, it tries to log into his outlook (even
asks for his pst password) and then gives an illegal operation do you want to
send this error message to microsoft. I click yes and dont get any other
information that is helpful troubleshooting this problem.

Anyone know how to fix this problem or what I can do to get this feature
working?

The versions must match. The Outlook 2003 address book will not work
with Word 2002.

To correct the issue you need to use Word 2003.

So there is no way to get Word 2002 to work with the Outlook 2003 address
book? There has to be some way to make this work together.
