Word XP can't find Access 2002 query

We have been using Access to manage a membership database
since 1997. When we upgraded Access 2000 to Access 2002
and Word 2000 to Word XP (the Office XP Pro package), some
of the querries we use from Access became unavailable to Word.

For instance, we are trying to merge a form letter in Word
with an Access query, but Word can't see or find the query
- although most other querries are still available from the
same database.

What happened and how do we fix it?

Thank you!

Hi Cindy,

This is a problem, and as far as I know, no one has been able to
completely isolate what can cause it. If it's a "special" kind
of query (parameter query, for example, that demands user input)
then it won't show up in the list.

You might want to try going back to the older connection
technology - DDE - and see if that helps. You'll find a
discussion about this, with instructions, in the Word 2002
section of my website's mail merge FAQ.
