Hi there,
I have just installed Office XP and Word XP is corrupting Word 2000
files (I haven't encountered the problem with Word XP files, so I am
unsure if the same problem occurs with Word XP). Btw, my system runs
Windows XP home edition and I have downloaded all available updates
for office and windows. What happens is that when I am changing text
in the file (with Track Changes Activated), there suddenly appears
repeated text - to give a representative example, the phrase
....which is a better determinant represents the genuine power of Ca2+
clearance mechanisms in the cell.
Suddenly turns into
....which is a better determinant represents the genuine power of Ca2+
clearance mechanisms in the cell.
learance mechanisms in the cell.
arance mechanisms in the cell.
ance mechanisms in the cell.
ce mechanisms in the cell.

echanisms in the cell.
hanisms in the cell.
nisms in the cell.

In addition, the screen seems unstable at times, with horizontal
(refreshing?) instabilities moving down the screen.
Is anyone out there familiar with these problems??? Any suggestions???
If this continues I'll have to trash office xp and reinstall office
2000 - a monumental waste of time/money.
Many thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
