Word XP: Draw toolbars & error message

I am an advanced office user. I have reloaded my office
program, detect & fix error performed and every time I go
to the draw toolbar and push the autoshapes, draw a
textbox, my program shuts down and sends an error
message. I think there is a fault in my program. Am I
nuts. My older 97 version never did this.
Please save me.

Hi Alicia,

Before restarting Word clear the files you find
from Start=>Search ~$*.*;*.tmp.

Try starting Word in Office safe mode (hold ctrl
key when clicking on the Word icon). Do you still
get the same error? If so, what are the details
from the Error signature dialog?
