Word XP hangs up

I have a home network and when I try to do anything in Word it will hang up
and I have to Ctrl,Alt,Delete to close and then it asks to send the non
responding error to MS. I have Office installed on both PC's. I try to print
in Excel and it does not hang up but informs me that there is nothing to
print. Then I try to print in Notepad and a blank page comes out of the
printer. These issues are only on the client PC and not the host.
Not sure if all of the info was needed but I'm concered with Word hanging up
and just cannot work in it. When I open the task manager it says that Word is
not responding.

Hey.
I am having a similar problem... a temporary fix you could probably use
would be to save your documents to the client computer and than transfer them
using windows explorer. If I find the permanent fix i'll let you know
