Word XP lock up

Hi,

I am running windows XP and office XP I have installed
sp1 and sp2. all my other programs seem to run ok (video
games, aol and ebay) but when I use word after 2 - 4
sentences it locks up and I have to cold boot my PC.
Really wierd if I hit the save button after every
sentecne it does not seem to lock up at all. B.T.W. I
have no toher programs running in the back ground either.
I have 768mb of DDR RAM 2 60 gig drives and a AMD 1.8
gig processor so I am sure hardware is not the issue
here. I have tried fdisking and wiping the drive several
time but to no avail. Can any one offer an explaination
or help?

Make sure that you don't have Voice Recognition active. If you don't use it,
it is probably best to use Add/Remove programs and Uninstall it.

On my machine I have about the same problem! It happened on a document when
I changed the font to Ariel. Yesterday my machine also locks up when I was
running Internet Explorer 6.
